Interview With Jax

Character Hot Seat Episode 1 from Kieren Moriarty on Vimeo.

The Stormtroopers have been learning to ask effective questions to gain a deeper understanding of what they are reading. As part of this learning they created a Character Hot Seat for the character Jax who narrates the story "Going after Humbug" by Viktor Allen. It's a good story in the School Journal Level 3, April 2012.

Buddy by V.M. Jones

We have finished our much loved class book, Buddy by V.M. Jones. This Tagxedo contains words which described the book Buddy for us. The students have also been writing fantastic letters to the author, V.M. Jones.

I will add links to their letters below:

Our Worm Farm

Finally, a new post! This time it took a guest blogger Eden to update The Tree of PRIDE. She is sharing class topic news of the worm farm in Room 20 (provided by Natasha).

Room 20’s topic is recycling and there is about 5 groups. I’m in the food scraps group. Our team leader Felicity had an idea of a worm farm and to get separate bins so Natasha brought a worm farm. It's really stinky but it’s easy to get used to. I had this strange idea of two people from each class to care for the worms and get compost bins in every class. Well I think that's a good idea. I mean it would cost a lot of money but it would make a massive difference. If you're reading this I hope you can make a difference as well and if we do help out we could have a better future.
